Welcome Baby L!!

A few weeks ago, I posted Jenna & Matt’s maternity session, and it was during another maternity session that I received the call that she was in labor.  They had just arrived at the hospital, and figuring we had a few hours to go, I finished out my session and headed home.  I had barely walked through the door when Matt called, saying Jenna was progressing quickly, so I turned around and headed right back out the door, calling out love to my own husband and baby as I left.

About 3 hours after she arrived at the hospital, and just a couple minutes after I arrived, Baby L made his appearance!

Welcome to the World, Baby R!

Baby R entered the world late on a Sunday night loudly!  For something so little, she has some very strong lungs and a very loud cry!  I waited anxiously in the waiting room with her family and excitedly hurried down in time to capture those first few precious moments of new life.

Welcome, Baby G!

Baby G is one of the sweetest, prettiest little girls I’ve ever seen!  She actually reminded me a lot of Maddox when he was born, with her thick brown hair and dark eyes and perfect little features.  They were even almost the same weight and height (within a half inch of each other), but I can’t remember him being that little.

I went to visit Baby G in her home a week after she was born.  I love being able to get to know my clients in their homes, and getting to use their homes as the backdrop for beautiful, intimate images.  Baby G was so comfortable and sweet, and she melted my heart!

A Nashville Engagement!

As I posted a few weeks ago, I traveled with two of my best friends down to Nashville for a destination engagement session!  Kristin and Jason are getting married in Keokuk this summer, but live in Nashville and wanted to bring their every day lives into their engagement session.  It was my first weekend away from Maddox, but we both survived!

It was a lot of fun tromping around a new city and getting to know these two better!

We stayed at The Hotel Preston while we were there, and I absolutely LOVED the elevators.  I just had to take advantage of the cool red animal print walls.  I’m sure Kristin and Jason thought I was a little crazy when they met us there for their session, and the first thing I did was say “stand in the corner of that elevator and make out for a minute!”  🙂
