A couple weeks ago, I shot an engagement session in Chicago with Jennifer and Kyle! This is the only one I can share until they see their proofs next Friday, but it is pretty awesome, since I’m in it! 🙂

Portfolio, Photography, and Professional Experience
This is our third year photographing the dog swim! The first two years, it took place at the Dankwardt Pool in Burlington, Iowa. This year, it was held at the West Burlington Pool! It is always a fun time, rolling around in the grass with the dogs! This year, I was licked, slobbered on, run over, peed on, and I think an English bulldog made out with me, but it was awesome!
Don’t forget, all profits from the print sales will be donated to the Des Moines County Humane Society! Images are available online at wendiriggens.com/proofs!
Enjoy!

Last week, I shared a post of Molly’s maternity session in Burlington. Her husband, Brandon, is a Marine stationed overseas, and he is home on leave for the arrival of their little one. When Molly and I first met, we tossed around ideas, and I asked if he had any tattoos. Come to find out, they have matching tattoos, inspired by the book “Where the Wild Things Are” that read “I’ll eat you up, I love you so!”
Immediately, this shot came to mind. We’ll do it again, too, after the baby arrives. I can’t wait!

Trisha & Tanner came to us waaaayyy back in 2006 for their engagement session, and then I photographed their wedding in October 2007. Click the links to check out the blog posts from their session and wedding. To date, it remains one of my favorite weddings I’ve shot!
They are now expecting a baby, and we ventured out to shoot a maternity session! 15 minutes in, it started to rain, so we packed up our stuff and went home. Even so, we managed to get a lot of beautiful images. Here are my absolute favorites! I have a few more that I love that you can see on our Facebook page at facebook.com/wendiriggensphotography, too!
Trisha, Tanner, congrats! I cannot wait to meet your little one!
.Working? Gorgeous image!

Jim Cayer - I have to say I loved your comments on this post and I guess its a good thing they were dogs. I’d hate to see you shooting an engagement session and have all of those things happen. Wonderful shots.
