I had so much fun with Kahri & Adam’s maternity session a couple of weeks ago, and was so excited to get a text from Kahri yesterday that their little girl has arrived! I love involving pets in shoots, too, and Macy was such a good sport! I hope she enjoys the baby, too, and adjust to not being an “only child”. ๐
Congrats, Adam & Kahri! Cannot wait to meet your little one!

We are 10 days away from meeting our baby girl (assuming she doesn’t decide to come on her own before then). I always have a lot of ideas for shoots that I want to do with newborns and babies and children, and almost always use these ideas on my clients. But once in a while, I get an idea, and even if it means sitting on it for years, an idea formulates that I am too selfish to share. ๐
It’s no secret that my husband and I are “Potterheads” and love the Harry Potter books and movies. I’m actually re-reading them right now for what is at least the 10th or 11th time (no joke). Every time I read them, I pick up on something new, and this time around have spent entirely too much time also reading interviews with JK Rowling and a couple of well done Wikis, too.
I’ve also spent entirely too much time on Etsy looking for the perfect props for our little one’s newborn and first year sessions. Two of my most anticipated props came in the mail these last couple of weeks, and I am beside myself with excitement to put them to use!
I have several wizarding themed shoots planned for the next year, but don’t expect to see a Harry Potter reincarnate. We won’t have the lightning-shaped scar or the wire rimmed glasses here. My baby girl is her own unique and amazing witch. ๐
(ignore the crappy cell phone pic, you’ll get to see them in their full glory soon!)

With my own baby due to arrive within the next couple of weeks, my blog is going to be a tad bit neglected over the next month or two, but I’ll try to post as often as I can! Today I just HAD to share this shot of Naomi and her dad Scott from her 3 month session this past Saturday. Isn’t she a doll?!?!

I had SO much fun with our Valentine Mini Sessions this year! We brought back the Kissing Booth by popular demand, and also had a cute, simple Valentine themed set as well! The kids that came were SO much fun!
You can see more from the sessions on our Facebook page at http://facebook.com/wendiriggensphotography. Be sure to “like” our page, and also pin your favorites from the blog to Pinterest!

What an adorable set up! Thanks for sharing ๐ Love the little girl with the cupcake!
