I always have a lot of ideas for shoots that I want to do with newborns and babies and children, and almost always use these ideas on my clients. But once in a while, I get an idea, and even if it means sitting on it for years, an idea formulates that I am too selfish to share. 🙂

It’s no secret that my husband and I are “Potterheads” and love the Harry Potter books and movies. I’m actually re-reading them right now for what is at least the 10th or 11th time (no joke). Every time I read them, I pick up on something new, and this time around have spent entirely too much time also reading interviews with JK Rowling and a couple of well done Wikis, too.

I’ve also spent entirely too much time on Etsy looking for the perfect props for our little one’s newborn and first year sessions. Two of my most anticipated props came in the mail these last couple of weeks, and I am beside myself with excitement to put them to use!

I have several wizarding themed shoots planned for the next year, but don’t expect to see a Harry Potter reincarnate. We won’t have the lightning-shaped scar or the wire rimmed glasses here. My baby girl is her own unique and amazing witch. 🙂

(ignore the crappy cell phone pic, you’ll get to see them in their full glory soon!)

Wand Makers: http://www.etsy.com/shop/OrchardWorks
Acceptance Letter: http://www.etsy.com/shop/OutlawHeartPaperCo

We are 10 days away from meeting our baby girl (assuming she doesn’t decide to come on her own before then).
