{"id":136,"date":"2008-08-11T14:53:19","date_gmt":"2008-08-11T20:53:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/inspiredimagesbywendi.com\/blog\/archives\/136"},"modified":"2008-08-11T14:53:19","modified_gmt":"2008-08-11T20:53:19","slug":"welcome-to-the-world-maddox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wendiriggens.com\/blog\/welcome-to-the-world-maddox","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to the world, Maddox!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday, August 6, 2008, Maddox entered the world!\u00a0 I went into labor in the middle of the night, but could never have made it through the entire labor without the help of an epidural, and the incredible support of my husband, Travis.\u00a0 The experience made me fall in love with him all over again, and every day when I see him interacting and caring for our little boy, I am amazed at how lucky I am to have them both.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Meet Maddox.\u00a0 Born at 1:14pm, he weighed 8#1oz and was 20&#8243; long.\u00a0 He is in perfect health, but is so small that he doesn&#8217;t even fit into his newborn outfits!\u00a0 He is absolutely amazing, beautiful, handsome, and quite simply, perfect.\u00a0 We took these in the hospital when he was two days old, using natural light from the windows, just before we got him dressed to go home.\u00a0 Ignore the little pressure lines on his arms, he had been sleeping and was all dented up from the blanket and his little shirt.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3279\/2753924619_bb70f6e918.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"338\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3163\/2754754812_0174fa8919.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"338\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3237\/2754755170_5699e3cb84.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"338\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I love how the depth of field is so shallow on this, and the focus point lands on the eye hidden under his hand.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3065\/2754755268_8008ebbc04.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"338\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3243\/2753925031_692accb801.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"338\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For someone so tiny, he has huge feet!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3212\/2753925089_a4846abe93.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"338\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He was not happy about being undressed!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"500\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3116\/2754755486_192238f23a.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"338\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He did calm down after a bit, though!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" onload=\"show_notes_initially();\" width=\"341\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3052\/2754755654_9b08ebe1a8.jpg?v=0\" alt=\"Maddox by you.\" height=\"500\" class=\"reflect\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He is truly incredible.\u00a0 Thank you again to everyone for your support and love over these last few months!\u00a0 I am sure this won&#8217;t be the last you see of him on here!
