I met Scott & Rachel last fall for their engagement session, and they have become mini-celebrities as a featured couple on my website. They are an amazing couple, and I was the lucky photographer that was there to document their wedding day on August 4. Despite the rain, and then the heat, it was a beautiful day! Rachel was a true do-it-yourself bride, and her attention to detail was impeccable! I do wonder, though, what became of the goldfish?

The look on the groom’s face when he first sees his bride is absolutely priceless. Scott couldn’t take his eyes off of Rachel!

She surprised him with a song near the end of the ceremony, and it was so touching!
Rachel had a stepstool brought out for their first kiss, so that she could be as tall as Scott!
Remember those goldfish I was talking about? Yup, a pair in every centerpiece! So cute, like nothing I’ve ever seen before!
And at the head table…
Rather than give a toast, the best man sang to the couple, the song from the end of “The Wedding Singer”. It was so sweet!
