*UPDATE – 1/8/13* I just wanted to share some love for the Etsy shops that the costumes are from!
Snow White – Three Dutch Divas
Cinderella – Made for Mermaids
Red Riding Hood – Three Gen Jewelry
Snow White’s Bow – Girly Treasures
*UPDATE – 1/3/13* WOW! When I blogged this post, I never expected it to be as popular as it is. It has been repinned several thousand times on Pinterest, and the traffic to our site has exploded. Thank you to everyone for the sweet and wonderful comments that you have left! I hope to update soon with links to some of the vendors that the outfits and props are from. Also, keep an eye out for Miss Maddie’s first birthday session in late March/early April. There were a couple of fairy tales that we didn’t get to do, and one in particular that is just perfect for her cake smash!
We have also had requests to feature these images on other blogs. We are absolutely open to this, so don’t hesitate to email info@wendiriggens.com.
Thanks again everyone!![]()
*Original Post Below*
When Nicole said she wanted to do fairy tales for Miss Maddie’s 9 month session, I never imagined just how incredibly adorable and amazing the images would turn out! She spent weeks and weeks searching for the perfect pieces for the shoot, and we spent two hours the day before setting up sets and discussing strategy. At 9 months old, most babies don’t have an incredibly long attention span, and we knew we would have to work quickly to ensure that Maddie was happy and that we got the shots we wanted.
The day of the session went better than we ever could have planned. Maddie didn’t mind the non-stop clothing changes, and seemed entertained by all the sets! She especially loved the “big bad wolf” and soap bubbles! And then, at the very end, she fell asleep, giving us one last shot to wrap up this perfect session, a shot we hadn’t even planned on and threw together very last minute!
Without further ado, welcome to Miss Maddie’s Once Upon a Time!

Once Upon a Time… We included a few pieces from our fairy tales in this initial shot, to sort of tie it all together…

Nicole - Thank you for all the wonderful and positive comments. The Peter Pan shadow i drew on charoal color paper and cut him out. Then we taped him on a background that we thought looked like Victorian syle wallpaper.
